Welcome to Close to Home Woodworks.

Welcome to Close to Home Woodworks! As a traditional woodworker, I focus on using hand tools and time-honored techniques to create furniture and custom projects. I also run a sawmill and specialize in restoring vintage tools. This site is frequently updated with new content, so be sure to check back for fresh items and tools for sale.

I love sharing my woodworking journey through blogs, and you can find them here. Additionally, I enjoy creating videos and photography that extend beyond woodworking—explore my project list here.

Bulkley Valley Birds

Bird photography has been a cherished hobby of mine for the past five years. In this gallery I showcase my favorite photos of various birds encountered around my cabin homestead. After a year-long break, creating this gallery inspires me to venture back outdoors with my camera. Most of these images were captured within a ten-kilometer radius of my homestead, nestled in sub-boreal forest of Northern Columbia.
